Karen joined her current firm, Micro Business Systems, in 1984, with the mission of combining computer technology, accounting systems, and education for business clients. She has implemented ERP systems for hundreds of businesses since, with an emphasis on managing deployments as projects. Karen learned about PMI in 2009 and realized that the framework established by PMI for project management paralleled and complimented the work she had been doing, so she became a member of PMI, and began integrating the principles and tools from the PMI methodology into her firm’s practice.
Passionate about project management, volunteerism, and community service, Karen served as VP Professional Development for two years, President Elect for one year, and now serves as President. She greatly enjoys working with the members, believes in the mission of PMI-CCVC, and wishes to continue the work to grow our chapter and to build a local community of project management professionals.
