“Developing Healthcare Community Outreach for Difficult Topics”

Guest Speakers
Jill McCarthy

Jill McCarthy, MBA, has been Community Outreach Liaison for Hinds Hospice since 2007; reaching out to all referral sources, including the community-at-large, about Hinds Hospice programs and services, and advocates for the importance of Advance Healthcare Planning.

In an ever increasing competitive market, that many in the community outright fear, Hospice, especially CBO Hospice Outreach, has its rewards and challenges including:

• planning events for awareness and education,

• to gaining fundraising support,

• to use of Resource/Career/Health Fairs and Public Speaking events,

Outreach means reaching everything; everywhere. Learn ways to: identify and reach your target audiences, build and protect your Brand, weave your guiding principles into the work you do, and set boundaries for yourself and those you serve.

Jill has served on the Board of Directors, two terms as Board Chair, for the California Central Valley Coalition for Compassionate Care, and has earned State Coalition certification as a trained trainer of POLST and Advance Healthcare Planning-CA Advance Directives. Jill has also held rotating positions on the boards of The Aging Network - TAN, and Senior Living Network - SLN, and the FMAAA Advisory Council.
