PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Education Director

The Education Director is responsible for the development and delivery of education and training relating to project management, e.g. certification (PMP, CAPM). The content of this education is to be consistent and in accordance with the chapter objectives and with approval of the chapter board.

Reports to: VP of Professional Development 

Filled by: Cynthia Elm, CAPM

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Research and communicate on-going educational opportunities for chapter members
  2. Arrange for professional workshops and seminars designed to improve the membership’s development in the field of project management
  3. Work with local educational institutions to enlist their support of Project Management Professionalism through PMI and the local chapter and Project Management course offerings
  4. Be the point of contact for questions concerning program reports or participation in the reported programs
  5. Assure that records of attendance in the reported programs are maintained
  6. Assure that certificates or other indications of participation in reported programs are issued to participants
