“Negotiation for Successful Projects”

Mike Steinberg

With Michael Steinberg

Topic Description - Negotiation is an important aspect of procurement for projects. Effective and ethical negotiation clarifies issues and leads to successful projects. Negotiation that is performed properly enhances relationships and project performance. Negotiation that is performed poorly destroys relationships and may lead to disputes and cost overruns. My presentation and group discussion will focus on the following topics.
  • Key components of negotiation
  • Differences between the needs of the buyer and seller
  • Negotiation in the context of a sourcing process
  • Negotiation skills and tactics
