Rattandeep Gill, PMP®
Project Manager. City Of Fresno
I am a proud Fresno resident and Project Manager (PMP®) for the City of Fresno’s Capital Projects Department, bringing 15 years of entrepreneurial and corporate leadership to our local civil service. My professional trajectory is truly international – ranging from surveying valleys amongst Buddhist monasteries in the Upper Himalayas, calculating snow loads in Quebec to providing water and power to Disney and Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank.
As the first female engineer from my tiny village in North India to earn both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering—a traditionally male-dominated field—I am a passionate advocate for women’s education and empowerment.
My ‘backup plans’ include training in classical Indian ragas, ancient instruments, and folk dances, alongside preserving grandma’s recipes and traditional arts like pottery, knitting, sewing, and embroidery. I also hold 'honours in humour' (yes, with ‘u’:) and am always ready for a kite-flying competition on the terrace when I’m back home in India.
If any of these topics interest you, or if you would like to discuss your own professional path, I would love to connect.

Nick Calderon, PMP®
Fractional VP of Strategy & CFO, Fresh Strategies
work as a fractional VP of Strategy and CFO, helping companies turn data into better decisions. Most of my work sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and technology, partnering with leadership teams to clean up processes, implement the right systems, and build strategies that actually scale. I often step in as an executive proxy or sponsor on key initiatives, helping bridge the gap between strategy and execution. Through my firm, Fresh Strategies, I primarily work with companies in the produce and fresh food space, where things move fast and complexity builds quickly.
My background includes financial leadership, ERP optimization (Famous Software and Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC), and building out data and analytics platforms. I’ve worked on everything from cash flow and operational improvements to integrating multiple data sources into something teams can actually use, including layering in data science concepts to improve forecasting, trend analysis, and decision support. I’ve also held my PMP for nearly 10 years, which has shaped how I approach projects in a practical, structured, and execution-focused way.
Outside of that, I like building things. I run a woodworking brand where I design and make custom pieces, and I’m also working on building a social media presence by sharing fun videos and practical tips along the way. Whether it’s in business or in the shop, I tend to approach things the same way: simplify where possible, build systems that make sense, and create something that lasts.
