Decision-Making in the Age of BIG-DATA - July '22 Remote Chapter Meeting
Decision-Making in the Age of BIG-DATA
This 90 min. webinar provides an insight into the Perils and Pitfalls we face when making decisions in the age of big-data. Attendees will learn about decision-contamination, and decision-manipulation, and how to remedy this situation.
Decisions pertaining to recruiting, site selection, bid evaluation, procurement, etc., are driven by multiple criteria. Selection of relevant criteria, and determining their relative significance, is a challenge. The XpertUS Multi-Criteria decision-making software tool is ideal for determining the optimum decision, and also for subsequent sensitivity studies (decision-validation).
After this workshop participants will be able to:
∙ Recognize human irrationality and illusions that creep into decision making, and put multi-dimensional, real-world problems into proper perspective.
∙ Understand key factors that impact decision making.
∙ Master the skill of making optimal decisions with greater speed, accuracy, and confidence.
∙ Present and defend decisions with ease.
∙ Understand the difference between problem solving and decision making.
∙ Define and utilize appropriate criteria in the decision-making process.
∙ Implement an analytic hierarchal methodology when making decisions.
∙ Minimize risk by validating decisions.
