Engaging the Next Generation - Bakersfield Monthly Meeting

Power Skills

Description of Presentation

Generation Z is officially entering the workforce. Is your organization ready? Kat Clowes of March Consulting saw a definite change seven years ago when working with high school students that caused a shift in the way that she guided students through the college admissions, scholarship, and career search process. She’ll explain what makes this generation different from Millennials (and other generations) before them, how managers and supervisors can best utilize Gen Z’s skill sets in the workplace, and how this generation will change the workforce in the coming years.

Learning Objectives

  • To define the different generations currently in the workplace and introduce the newest generation, Generation Z
  • To help managers and supervisors (especially on front line or hiring) become more aware of how this new generation thinks, works, and is trained to handle information and the work environment.
  • To give managers and supervisors tools to help them best utilize this new generation on their teams.
