Speaker Bio:
LaVonne Banks is the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) at Kern Health Systems, which was honored as a 2020 PMO of the Year Finalist by the Project Management Institute (PMI). With over 20 years of experience in the financial aid industry, LaVonne discovered her passion for project management nearly two decades ago. For the past 12 years, she has dedicated herself to advancing PMO operations within the healthcare sector, where she excels in developing project management offices, mentoring project managers, and overseeing portfolio management.
In addition to her professional achievements, LaVonne actively contributes to the project management community as the Vice President of Professional Development for PMI’s Central Valley Chapter. She is also pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree with a focus on Information Systems and Enterprise Resource Management, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and leadership in the field.
