Speaker Bio:
Matt Milbury is a registered and licensed Mechanical Engineer with 15 years of experience as a project engineer and project manager in the upstream oil and gas industry. Throughout his career, he has managed a portfolio of projects valued at $250 million, covering all phases from FEL-1 through Commissioning. After transitioning to the Carbon Solutions team, Matt developed a comprehensive and scalable project management program that defined the minimum requirements for effective project management. Currently, he leads several large and complex projects, ranging from FEL-1 through FEL-3, involving multiple disciplines, organizations, and government and regulatory groups. The total
portfolio size for these projects exceeds $2 billion. Matt is passionate about mentoring and educating others to help them realize their full potential. He has been a consistent mentor within his organization, taught engineering at Taft College, and owns and operates a website dedicated to sharing design information for entry-level engineers and piping designers, which attracts 30,000 unique visitors each month.
