Presentation Description:

To mature SoCalGas' Safety Management System, key elements of project management were used. I'll take you on a journey of what I did to plan, get leadership buy-in, and work with my peers to accomplish a very large project. You will also learn of one very effective method for engaging the next generation of project managers, mingling them with the experts of the here and now for advantageous and intentional knowledge transfer.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe what a Safety Management System is.
2. Identify how a very large company shifts its culture using project management and change management.
3. Apply a simple solution for managing the hiring pool for project management within their organization.
4. Find value in structuring a solution to a problem others may not know they had
